Functional Movement Assessment
Sometimes our aches and pains or tight muscles can be from abnormal movement patterns or posture. Certain muscles in your body may not activate properly, or may need to be strengthened or stretched. The doctor will put you through a few movements and analyze your posture and muscle balance. Dr. Steph will be able to determine where the root of the imbalance comes from. For example, just because your shoulder hurts doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with your shoulder, it could be overworked due to a core problem or a decrease in the movement of your shoulder blade.
These sessions can also be utilized to come up with a new exercise routine and to determine if your current exercise routine is effective or possibly doing more harm than good.
At the end of your session, you will be given customized recommendations on how to get your body moving well.
